Spotlight

I have been practicing cardiology for over 30 years, all of it in the Brampton and Etobicoke communities. This has allowed me the opportunity to see the impact of vascular disease and the benefits of all forms of therapy in a tremendously diverse community. As well, I have had the opportunity to be in local leadership positions for many years, culminating in being interim Chief of Staff during the height of COVID. This has allowed me the ability to see the impact that is achieved when health care professionals and politicians work effectively (or not) together. I worked as a consultant to the insurance industry for many years and sat on the boards of insurance companies. This allowed a recognition that health care costs money and uses resources and often hard decisions need to be addressed.
