Y10 Spring exam
The Y10 February exam will take place in class during your lesson on Tuesday 23rd January 2024.
This exam will act as a progress check and will be used to inform monitoring, predicted GCSE grades and decisions about tiers of entry for Y11. It is therefore important that you prepare for it properly.
The paper will examine the paper 1 content for biology, chemistry and physics (click on the link for revision resources to help you prepare):
Revision advice:
Make sure you know what the command words in the questions mean.
The quizlet links at the top of the Paper 1 revision pages (linked above) will help you learn the keywords.
You should also:
study the knowledge organisers that will be stuck in your book,
use and update the revision resources you have made for homework,
read through the gap filling activities you have done after each test,
use the seneca learning website to cover any material you are still not sure about (make sure you sign up for the correct course - ask your teacher if you are not sure).
test yourself using the the past papers at the bottom of the paper 1 revision pages and the exam questions found on the individual chapter pages.
Some additional guidance on how to study effectively can be found in the presentation below and here. If you have any questions please ask your class teacher.
