The incarnation and Jesus as the son of GodIn this lesson, we will focus on on the story of the incarnation in Christianity. We will look at the story of Jesus' birth and its meaning for Christians.

Lesson 2

Life of Jesus

Life of JesusIn this lesson, we will focus on Christian beliefs about the life of Jesus in which we'll be looking at examples of Jesus' actions, teachings and miracles.

week 3

Lesson 1

Crucifixion

The CrucifixionIn this lesson, we will focus on Christian beliefs about the Crucifixion, in which we'll be looking at the story of Jesus' death. We will learn the story of Jesus' crucifixion, learn the meaning of the crucifixion for Christians and practise using quotations in examination questions.

Resurrection

The ResurrectionIn this lesson, we will focus on Christian beliefs about the resurrection and ascension. In this lesson we'll be looking at the story of Jesus' resurrection and the meaning it has for Christians today.

Sin and Salvation

Sin and SalvationIn this lesson, we will focus on Christian beliefs about sin and salvation, in which we'll be looking at Christian beliefs about sin and how many Christians believe people are saved from the consequences of sin.

Lesson 2

Atonement

AtonementIn this lesson, we will focus on Christian beliefs about the atonement, in which we'll be looking at traditional Christian understandings of how Jesus' death was a sacrifice for sin.

JudgementIn this lesson, we will focus on Christian beliefs about Judgement, in which we'll be looking at beliefs about the Day of Judgement and different beliefs about what humans will be judged on.

Lesson 2

Life after death

Heaven, Hell and PurgatoryIn this lesson, we will focus on Christian beliefs about heaven, hell and purgatory. We will explore different views on the afterlife, symbolic interpretations of a spiritual resurrection and literal interpretations of a physical resurrection.

A Brief History of IndiaIn this lesson, we will look at some of the main philosophical ideas that existed in the time of the Buddha. We will be looking at a short history of India and some of the big ideas.

Dukkha and The Four Noble Truths In this lesson, we will focus on Dukkha. Dukkha is an important teaching in Buddhism and it refers to suffering. We will be looking at the question of why humans suffer and the causes of suffering according to Buddhism.

The Four Noble TruthsIn this lesson, we will be looking at what is considered to be the most important teaching of the Buddha: The Four Noble Truths. During this lesson we will question what the noble truths are and how they link to other important ideas in Buddhism.
