Present perfect subjunctive

Pretérito perfecto compuesto de subjuntivo o Perfecto de subjuntivo/Present perfect subjunctive or Past Subjunctive

To form the present perfect of subjunctive, write the present subjunctive of haber plus the past participle of the verb you want use.

Espero que tú hayas estudiado

No creo que ustedes hayan entendido la lección

Remember, the present subjunctive of haber is:

Yo haya

Tú hayas

Él haya

Nosotros hayamos

Vosotros hayáis

Ellos hayan

If the action in the dependent clause occurs before the action in the main clause, then use the present perfect subjunctive.

Examples:

Mis padres están emocionados que yo haya obtenido buenas calificaciones en la escuela.

My parents are very happy that I have had good grades at school.

Nosotros iremos de vacaciones cuando hayamos terminado la escuela.

We will go on vacations when we have finished the school.
