PACE is a cooperative education program where participating students have an opportunity to explore a skilled trade within the construction sector, through a co-op experience alongside TDSB tradesperson employees. It is offered in collaboration with the TDSB Design, Construction, Maintenance department and its trades union, the Maintenance and Construction Skilled Trades Council (MCSTC). PACE students earn 4 credits in cooperative education while developing skills related to construction and acquire certifications recognized by industry, including Working at Heights and Emergency First Aid.

The student will attend a virtual interview to gauge eligibility and interest.
Applications for Semester 1 open in April. Applications for semester 2 open in October.
Meet with the Earl Haig teacher and attend OYAP information sessions.
If you are approved by an EH Coop teacher, you will be placed into nomination for the program
A PACE Google Application will be sent to you asking for placement preference (due date TBD),resume and cover letter in PDF format
Once the above is complete, students will be invited to a virtual interview.
During the virtual interview, students will be scored using a rubric and successful candidates will be notified of next steps.
