The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) offers the Business Connect Central Co-op Program, providing students with experiential learning opportunities in various business sectors, including banking, accounting, finance, marketing, and management/operation..
This program enables students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, enhancing their skills and understanding of business operations. Sample employers include: National Bank, Ainsworth Business, Kwantum Advisory, TMU Business, Hilton Hotel, Eatable. Each employer offers specific positions.
The requirements for MOST of these programs include:
Prioritizing and committing to fully attend the Business Connect Program
A history of courses in business (many require two business courses and all accounting courses require at least Grade 11 Accounting as a prerequisite to apply).
Many require students to demonstrate academic strength.
Most require travel of 1 hour from Earl Haig
Many have some hybrid model where some days you will work from home.
