Applications for Semester 1 open in April/May. Applications for semester 2 open in October/November.
Meet with the Earl Haig teacher coordinating xoTO and attend xoTO information sessions.
If you are approved by an EH Coop teacher, you will be sent an application from Tara Blackwell to complete the following:
a. The xoTO Google form
b. An updated resume and cover letter
c. A Portfolio outlining your relevant experience
Submit your application to your Coop teacher BEFORE the Earl Haig deadline so that it can be reviewed before submitting to the xoTO
Once the above is complete and emailed to Tara-Jane.Blackwell@tdsb.on.ca students will be invited to a virtual interview.
After the interviews are complete, students will be emailed informing them if they have been accepted into the xoTO program.
Note:
It is the responsibility of the xoTO schools coordinator (Anya V.) to find placements for each student. Anya will do her best to match student interest to student placement. Full day co-op is advised.
When a placement match has been made, another virtual interview between student and potential supervisor will occur.
Offers will be provided to students via email and students must reply within a timely manner.
Note that applications are NOT accepted by xoTO unless they are registered by an Earl Haig Coop teacher. Please use this website to understand the requirements and read about the applications, but speak to the Earl Haig Co-Op department before applying.
