The UHN Coop program is an opportunity to apply skills learned in school in a healthcare setting. There are a large range of patient facing and research positions. The associated TDSB teacher will match each selected student to a supervisor that would be the best fit for the students' interests. There will be training, workshops and activities which bring all UHN coop students from across the TDSB together on a regular basis.
ONLY 3 EH Candidates will be able to apply each semester.

Expectations include very strong athletic performance with specific interest in the sciences, excellent attendance, strong communication skills.
All placements Medical-Based:
• Patient-facing (units, clinics, and medical imaging)
• Medical Administration (Clinic assistant)
• Pharmacy (Transplant Pharmacy)
• Research (dry labs and wet labs)
Workshops and Training Provided in all settings.
Most positions 1+ hour travel
Main Campus (Bayview and Lawrence, 45 Min by TTC from Earl Haig). (Most EH students are placed here)

Applications in May for S1 and October for S2.
Review the options for Clinical and Non-Clinical Healthcare placements and be sure that you wish to apply for UHN as your first choice.
Complete the Application to Central Coop within Earl Haig.
Meet with the Earl Haig teacher coordinating Healthcare and attend Healthcare information sessions.
If you are approved by an EH Coop teacher, you will be notified. You should begin Medical Forms for the hospital immediately. These will include 2-Step TB test and proof of immunizations and will require medical verification by your doctor.
A Google Form application from UHN TDSB Central Staff will be emailed to you It is recommended that you show your Coop teacher your application BEFORE submitting. There will be an internal deadline.
Interview process with UHN TDSB Central Staff (Stage 1)
Possible interview with the Employer (Stage 2)
UHN training, if accepted.
If students are not accepted, they may absolutely find a position within Standard Coop!
