The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) partnered with the 32 Canadian Brigade Group. Students are introduced to career opportunities including teamwork/leadership training, fitness, navigation training, soldier-skills, stress/resilience training, weapons handling, and CPR/Red Cross.
Students receive military pay during training and can be accredited with all 3-levels of Basic Military qualifications. Successful students will be offered summer employment. Students can continue their military service part-time in the Army Reserves: 1 night/week and 1 weekend/month following placement.
Able to travel overnight with the military program for 1-2 weeks of the program for field training/testing
Selection Process:
• Two-part medical examination

• Interview
• Reliability (Background) check – no legal obligations (National criminal records and credit check will be conducted in Cananda and other countries you have resided in)

Check your email daily to ensure you receive messages from the Military. From this point, you will be asked to complete the FORCES test, medical testing and background checks. Once your application is submitted, Earl Haig teachers will not have access to your file or military communications. You will need to inform us if you require assistance and should keep us up-to-date with your process and the dates you will be leaving school for military matters.
