Be interested in starting your apprenticeship while still in high school
Want to learn on the job from a licensed tradesperson
Want to go to College or a Union training centre to get Level 1 training in the trade of choice
Be in your Graduating Year
Note: Electrical has a math assessment

SEMESTER 2 ONLY - Applications are due the beginning of November.
Meet with the Earl Haig teacher and attend OYAP information sessions.
If you are approved by an EH Coop teacher, you will be placed into nomination for the program
You will be sent, through Docusign a permission form to complete
Math assessments, if relevant to your trade, are done in mid-November
An interview will be done beginning mid-November
After the interviews are complete, students will be emailed informing them if they have been accepted into the program.
Note that applications are NOT accepted by Accelerated OYAP unless they are registered by an Earl Haig Coop teacher. Please use this website to understand the requirements and read about the applications, but speak to the Earl Haig Co-Op department before applying.
