Please note that teachers will be reaching out to their students starting June 30, 2025. Students taking Eclass will be auto enrolled and will see their class shell when they log in starting today. Remote learning students will receive an invitation to their Google Classroom starting Monday June 30th.

DEADLINE to register school-based co-op students: Monday, June 2, 2025.

STEP 1- Refer the student to the teacher assigned as the School-Based teacher. Complete the Google Form to indicate if the student is in School-Based vs Central Co-op
STEP 2: Sign the Registration Form. The student will be asked to upload their signed Registration Form to the Google Form above, along with their resume and cover letter

Students are to complete the following:
• Cooperative Education Student Placement Application Form
• Resume & Cover Letter
• Communicable Disease Health Screening form

**This is a highly competitive summer program, and applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.**
Central Placements-Unpaid 2 credit coop. Placements are secured by the board or the student.
Central Placements are available to ALL students, including SCHOOL-BASED co-ops (competitive) link
Deadline to apply May 23rd, 2025 **except for Etobicoke General Hospital-May 15th, 2025**
STEP 1- REVIEW Summer 2025 Central Placement Options with the student
STEP 2- SHARE Summer 2025 Google Form Application and help with the application process if necessary, i.e., supply the Registration Form.
STEP 3: SIGN the Registration Form. The student will be asked to upload their signed Registration Form to the Google Form above, along with their resume and cover letter.
STEP 4- Once they have secured a placement, a continuing education staff member will enroll them in CENTRAL Coop—NO SCHOOL LEVEL REGISTRATION
STEP 5- All unsuccessful candidates will be notified via email by Wednesday, June 11th, 2025.

TRADES by DESIGN

The TCDSB Trades By Design summer program is scheduled to run from July 2nd through August 8th, 2025.
This unique program offers students the chance to explore multiple trades in Construction or Transportation during one summer while earning two co-op credits. TCDSB is partnering with organizations such as the City of Toronto, TCDSB, and various high-rise developers.
Example Experiences:
Truck & Coach, Fleet Service and Welding
Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, and Welding
Target Group:
16 years old as of July 2nd, 2024
Students who have completed Grade 10
Students who are in or have just completed Grade 11
Construction and/or Transportation SHSM
Students who cannot accommodate co-op in their regular day schedule
Additional Details:
Students will receive the required PPE and special industry training.

SUMMER DUAL CREDITS

Summer 2025 DC Course Offerings - All Colleges
Courses are being offered IN-PERSON.
Humber and Centennial courses take place 3 days per week in the afternoon.
Seneca courses are 4 days per week in the morning.
George Brown is not offering any stand-alone Dual Credit courses - only SWAC.
We have a capacity of 22 for the SWAC program at George Brown College. Each student will be able to get 3 credits total (ENG, GLE/S and one Dual Credit)
Summer Dual Credit courses are a great opportunity for students to gain a college and high school credit in 55 hours.
Students have access to all the college facilities - including the gym and library.
Registration links are active; however, I will not receive official confirmation from colleges until late May/early June.
Please note that these are college-delivered courses, so students need to be committed and attend.
