Exploration Days are a special time in the TASIS Dorado calendar set aside for Middle School and Upper School students, featuring subject areas that do not fit the standard curriculum. The week offers innovative and immersive educational experiences to students where they can foster the TASIS Dorado values outside of the normal classroom setting or beyond our school grounds. From participating in entrepreneurship ventures or leadership and team-building exercises to cultivating eco-wellness and personal health and wellness, TD students explore countless ways to engage with local communities, Puerto Rico, and the wider world.

Rebranded as Exploration Bear Challenge, our improved Middle School Exploration Days offer even more exciting and personalized activities for our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. These three days allowed our students to get creative and explore new interests, all the while gaining a fresh perspective and deepening their knowledge!
From 6th grade’s artistic workshops and 7th grade’s entrepreneurial ventures to 8th grade's unique leadership paths, this year's Exploration Bear Challenge empowered students as they collaborated with one another and presented their final projects to families and peers. Education just rose to a whole other level!

If students thrive when their learning feels real, how much more when they have the opportunity to explore the real world in meaningful ways? Whether painting murals in Los Naranjos, learning CPR on Isla Verde, exploring hidden treasures in Puerto Rico, analyzing simulated crime scenes, or brainstorming business plans for their bakery businesses, our students honed skills reinforced by real-world application: collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and community impact. Exploration Days remind us that education follows us into every street we walk, every wave we ride, every community we touch. That’s what experiential learning is all about!
