This academic year witnessed a remarkable collaboration that transformed the learning experience for 17 seniors enrolled in the AP United States Government and Politics course. Ms. Nilda "Profe" Rivera joined forces with Ms. Michelle "Micki" García --a lawyer-mom-substitute teacher extraordinaire, that is as passionate about political science, American history, and literature as Profe-- to create an enriching co-teaching environment that brought new perspectives and expertise into the classroom.

This unforeseen collaboration sparked deep mutual respect and collegiality between the teacher and the lawyer, paving the way for an innovative co-teaching project.
