Foundations In Art 2 (in combination with Foundations In Art 1) can replace Studio In Art as the requirement for an art sequence and as the prerequisite for advanced art courses. This course can be used toward satisfying half of the one-year graduation requirement in the arts. Foundations In Art 2 is great for students with a general interest in 3-D art and those who may want to continue with more advanced art courses. The fundamentals of three dimensional design and composition are taught. Foundations 2 focuses primarily on three dimensional work. Projects explore the areas of drawing, painting, sculpture, and design.
Foundations In Art 2 is a 0.5 credit alternate day course.
This course fulfills half of the art graduation requirement.
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Students will explore a variety of materials in this course including, but not limited to: wire, paint, marker, paper, foam, clay, foil, and plaster.
