In Photo 1, students will learn how to take photos with a 35mm camera, develop film, work in a darkroom, create contact sheets, and finally print photos! Students will have access to a black and white processing darkroom with 14 enlarger stations as well as a variety of film cameras. Students will first learn about light sensitive materials and the history of photography. Students will then learn how to operate a 35mm film camera and will photograph a range of subjects: nature, city scenes, montage, and photo journalism.
