AP Art History is a historic look at the art through the ages. From cave paintings to Chrysler Building, this course is a survey of world history from an artistic lens. Examples of architecture, sculpture, and painting are explored through slides, discussion, research, and field trips. Students learn to draw conclusions about civilizations and cultures through the artwork they produced. The cost of AP exams is announced in the Fall of the current school year. All students are required to pay in order to take the exam. FIELD TRIPS will happen in order to get an experience with many of the artifacts and works that are regularly discussed in class. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) The Whitney Museum and the Guggenheim are the Manhattan highlights that we frequent, just to name a few. The AP exam consists of multiple choice and FRQ questions.Â
