MDE has updated the monitoring and compliance format to be based on a 5 year cycle. On an annual basis, districts and their special education Director and Due Process Specialist (DPS) will work through Indicator Data Collection (IDC) monitoring. Every 5 years, districts will go through the cohort cycle, including a deep dive into due process compliance practices with the support of their Director and DPS.
