Resources for Informed Special Education Teachers (RIST) doesn't replace the SWWC website. It exists because — unlike the public SWWC website, which needs to serve numerous user groups — RIST can be organized exclusively around case managers' needs. The scope of RIST includes due process procedure, specialized instruction, and service delivery.

Is this replacing the SWWC website?

No, the SWWC website is not going away. The main SWWC website is designed to meet the needs of all SWWC members. The Case Manager Resources website and the main SWWC are complimentary in the sense that many documents linked from this website can also be found on the SWWC website.

Why was this website created?

In short, the most important reason is organization. Generally speaking, the main SWWC website is organized by service area/department, and resources are arranged to cater to the needs of many group of users. Because that website serves a diverse group of users, it makes sense to keep it organized that way. The Resources for Informed Special Education Teachers website (RIST), on the other hand, is designed primarily for use by special education case managers and service providers.
