Farewell to Jim Albrecht

After more than 20 years at Sturigs, our Director of Finance, Jim Albrecht retired! Jim will be missed for his leadership and business acumen here at Sturgis!  

As Director of Finance and Operations,  he oversaw the building project at Sturgis West as we grew to two campuses, which was an enormous undertaking. He did it all again when the school purchased the bowling alley and turned it into several more classrooms plus spacious new rooms for our Wellness, Music and Theatre classes. Jim took on these challenges while continuing to teach IB Business classes at both campuses. When asked what he will miss most about Sturgis, his reply was that he would miss teaching the students the most. 

Jim will be best remembered for his love of dogs, as he is an AKC dog show judge who travels the world deciding which pampered pooch will win the title of Best in Show. Retirement will allow him more time to relax in his favorite place, Costa Rica. Farewell and best wishes to him, he will be missed!
