Surrealism Collage

The main idea behind this piece was the 80's retro style, as seen with the bright pink and blue, as well as the 'squiggles' throughout. I then wanted to create some abstraction, so the addition of somewhat random images came in.

This was made originally with paper scraps and newspaper cutouts, as well as paint markers for the coloring and added details.

There were several images that I knew I wanted in the piece, but they didn't fit into the collage in the way that I would have liked, so they didn't make it to the final cut. And then, from the collage to the painting, a few more details didn't make it in.
