Sgraffito

While creating my sgraffito slab I was inspired by a ton of small simple flowers to create an unique pattern, I didn't want to do a boring pattern like I usually do so I decided to do small flowers. 

The materials I used to create this artwork was black underglaze, stylist, and on a clay plate.

The first thing I did was begin by drawing my design idea, which was flowers, I wasn't sure how I was going to  place them onto the clay slab but I decided I would figure it out while creating my artwork. I then started by putting flowers all over the clay slab, being sure to make the design as 50/50 as possible.
