Duck Stamp

Nene Duck

9x12

Colored pencil, ink pen, and water color, on watercolor paper

The main idea that guided my artwork was the nene duck, I thought that it was cool because the feathers are cool and it's a lot more unique than the other ducks because it is on land which is pretty rare in this project.

I used many different colors of colored pencils, and I used watercolor for the background, I also used a little bit of ink pen to make the black spots a little bit darker.

The process behind my duck stamp was first I decided to use watercolor paper and then I watercolored the background green so that I could give myself a good base for the background, I then sketched the outline and proceeded to add more color and details as I continued to work. Finally, I went back to my background and added colored pencils over the watercolor.
