Extended Blind Contour

Waterfall

18x24

Used oil pastels and graphite pencil to make

The idea that guided my artwork for this Extended Blind Contour project, was how the hair came off of the face I had to draw before, I saw the shape of a waterfall somehow and I went with that, I also saw how I could turn the fingers into hills that could go with the setting.

The only materials I used were a 2H graphite pencil, and oil pastels. I began by drawing a hand, and two faces with a black oil pastel without looking at the paper as I was drawing. I then saw a waterfall, hills, and a tent, so I went with that and started tracing where my lines were going to be, then I went in with blue, green, white, and black oil pastels to color it in.

I first started by looking at the faces and hand I drew, I then decided I saw a waterfall and hill landscape, so I began by outlining the view and started to trace, and then I colored it in and came up with this waterfall view.
