the Maine idea that guided this piece of artwork was the ship, I started making the ship and after that, I knew exactly how I was going to draw the ducks, the legs of the boat, the positions of everything. u used a 12''x9'' piece of paper, then I used a graphite pencil to start my drawing and ideas. after the pencil I was going to do colored pencil but decided to go with paint. i used a paintbrush to paint. I first looked up a picture of a pirate ship so I could get some kind of an idea, after that I took my pencil a sketched out the pirate ship and ducks. finally, I took my paintbrush and my paint and colored in the ship and ducks.
