Sgraffito Tile 

Clay, underglaze, and glaze 5 x 7

For our first project, we did sgraffito tiles. sgraffito tiles are simple slabs of class that you put the glaze on. For my first step, I started out with a ball of clay and proceeded to make a clay slab, After, I had made a clay slab I sketched out some ideas I might have liked to go on my sgraffito tile. after I had found an idea we glassed the clay. I put three glaze cotes on so the color would truly show and pop. After that, I put on my design, which is the strawberries, and dug into the clay for the seeds. and after that, the clay went into firring and came out like the final product. 

overall im not mad or unhappy with my clay slab, however if I had to change anything I would make it straight at the top and choose a different color for the glaze so it doesn't really match the color tone of the strawberries.
