Throughout this project my group worked well with one another and we ended up with a model and report we are all happy with. I think we had some ups and downs as we worked, but figured out ways to find solutions. I think personally this wasn't my best project we've done. I enjoyed working with my group and sketching out our ideas. I felt two of the areas I really succeeded in for this project were organization and communication. As we all worked to figure out ideas and complete the research assignments, I feel like organizing my work for this project was very helpful. It made a world of difference to make sure that my engineering notebook was organized in order to know where all my sketches, research, and data is. I think that I was able to really keep this in mind and use it to add to our presentation, complete assignments, and help to create a great project overall. Secondly, I feel like communication was very key for my group and being able to get everything done. We were able to talk over what each person was going to get done, over what time, and when it should be done. I think that I was able to really tell when I would have something done and what we as a group should get done first. This allowed us to not be super stressed about assignments. Communicating our ideas to the group was also incredibly helpful. I think that we are all good at hearing out our groupmates and considering every idea that they have. We were all able to then take bits from everyone's ideas and put together a model that everyone would be happy with.
Though I think my group did very well during this project, there are two areas I think I could improve on for the next project. One being leadership. I think for many of these assignments I stick to what I am good at mostly. Rather than trying to work on every aspect of the project. In the future, I would like to try and do some work for everything, rather than only a few things. I believe this would give me more of a leadership position in the future. Being able to make quicker decisions and know what to do for more than just a few things of the project. Secondly, I would improve on planning. I think many of my ideas were made quickly and could be more thought out in the future. Planning ahead more would give us even more time to work and talk about our project. I think I would plan more of what we want to get done each day and how we are going to do it. This would give myself and my group mates more time after to edit and make changes if needed. Overall this was a great project and I am very happy with the finished product.
