For this project, I think my group was able to work really well together, we also had a lot to work past and make sure we were able to find accurate data to finish the project. For this project I worked with Alisa Costello, Cassie Rees, and Charley Connors. I think we had a lot of ups and downs throughout the whole process. I think two of my peaks during this project were based a lot around critical thinking and collaboration. We hit a few bumps along the road to get to the finished product of this project. A few being that we started out really strong with our data, proving at almost every point that the energy was conserved. We then realized one of our calculations was wrong and had to almost completely restart. So we had to do a lot of thinking and reworking to make sure what we found was accurate after fixing our mistake. This proved to be a skill we really needed, to try and work through the problem and fix it rather then ignoring it. Another area I think I was really strong in was collaboration. We all did a lot of our own parts to try and work it out and problem solve so I think doing my part was really important to getting this done. By providing my own ideas and trying to help with everyone as much as possible I think we all played a big role in getting this project done.
While the project ended up well and seemingly accurate, we did have a few issues getting this done. I think a few areas I could have improved on and make sure I work on for the next would be, communication and character. I think because of the difficult issue we found with this project it made it hard to want to keep trying to solve it. I think working more and more on a growth mindset is really important to getting things done with a group project. If one person isn't willing to work through the problem, the chance less people in the group will too. I think my group could have also communicated alot more throughout the porject. We did a lot of work outside of the classroom, meaning we really needed to be able to communicate with eachother. Filling eachother in on what work we needed to get done as well as sharing ideas about how to fix problems. I think more and more we communicate the easier it is to try and problems solve with the help of the group. Meaning for the next few project I will try and step up and share more ideas with my group. As well as ask more questions about what I don't understand and what we think we can all get done.
