For this project we were supposed to pick a sport action and find all of the physics within it.

This was the second project we got to do as a High School Freshman. Now that we had already done one other one we were a lot less nervous. We got into our groups with some people we didn't know. We were told that we were going to have to film a video of us doing a sports action (hitting a baseball, Shooting a goal, etc). We brainstormed as many ideas down for what sport to do and what actions we could do within it. Eventually we ended up choosing on doing a Basketball half court shot.

The half court shot is a shot in basketball is taken from behind the half court line that is in the center of the court. If you make it in the basket it is worth three points. this shot is normally taken at the end of the game when there is only a couple of seconds left. This shot has become more prominent in recent years as players in the NBA have been more likely to shoot it. It also is one of the main events at many half times.
