This project was very interesting to see all the different things that take place to get water that is drinkable. I found it to be fascinating all the different chemicals that you have to put in and take out of water to make it drinkable. This project has taught me a lot about these kinds of topics that I haven't really thought about before. I now focus on how much work can go into something that seems as simple as clean water.
Although this project taught me a lot about water it also taught me a lot about myself. I think with this being our first project back where we had to use real chemistry and research it brought me back to realization about these kinds of group projects. It shows me that when working in projects there are some attributes I bring that i can give to my group to help apply to the project. One of these would be my collaboration. When in these kinds of group projects I do a good job of sharing out my ideas and what I think would work best in these specific situation. This allows to me to involve myself in my projects and help both myself it the understanding of the projects along with my group mates. My second good attribute would be Creativity. With these creative ideas I can supply the group it it makes it easier for everyone to think critically about the project. This allows for new ideas to be flowing through our group while also making really good in depth models and ways to express our work.
The takeaways that projects should leave one with however shouldn't only be what you did best, you also have to see your errors and strive to build on them. For me I think that this would be Critical Thinking. I struggle at times of starting up the ideas in new topics. However once these ideas are supplied to me I am good at collaborating the thoughts that come into my head. To work on this aspect I need to do some more research on my topics so that I have more critical ideas to share. My second thing I could work on would be my character. I sometimes come into projects shut down because I am not in the best mood from previous actions throughout the day. When I join these group atmospheres I need to flush these thoughts and think about how I can benefit my group instead coming in with a dead mindset and not sharing. This just hurts my group when I am not mentally ready to share my ideas and thoughts.
In conclusion, this project was one of the most interesting ones we have done yet this year. It taught me a lot both about myself and about the broader topics of water and the purification process. This I will bring with me to my future projects to work on myself so that my group can achieve the maximum potential we have.
