Winter Disco

UPDATE!  Thank you so much for everyone who came and danced their socks off!  A wonderful time was had by all and you helped raise over £800 for the PTA - amazing effort.  An extra big thank you to all our parent volunteers and to Mrs Grant who welcomed disco-goers in the playground on her day off.

Date for your diaries - Saturday 5th February 2022

The Year Six reps together with the PTA Committee are delighted to invite all children to our 2022 school disco!

This year, our disco returns to the hall and we cannot wait to see all those KICK dance lessons in action!

This year we are holding three discos as follows

The disco extravaganza will kick off at 3pm when we welcome our Reception and Nursery children for an hour of fun. The lights will remain on, and the disco will be fully interactive for our youngest dancers. Parents are invited to stay and enjoy a complimentary tea/coffee and cake with us (one parent per family please).

We then will welcome Years 1 – 3 at 4:30pm where the lights are dimmed, and the music fired up for 1.5 hours of disco entertainment. If you are not volunteering on the day, please leave your child/ren and collect them at 6pm.

Finally, we welcome our Years 4 – 6 children at 6:30pm for a final 90 minutes of full-on disco fun! Once again, this is a drop off event with the disco finishing at 8pm.

Each child will enjoy biscuits, crisps, and a drink during their disco. There will also be glow in the dark face paint available to all.

We need lots of volunteers to run the disco. If you can volunteer, please sign up on the sheet being circulated by your reps. Please note all volunteers need to be DBS checked.

Tickets are available to purchase via Ticket Tailor and are £5 per child plus a £0.20 booking fee. To minimise fees, please select the disco tickets for the number of children you are purchasing for. They do not need to attend the same session to buy a multi child ticket.

We do not want any child to miss out on the fun due to economic hardship.  Please let the PTA or the school know if you would like your child to attend but are unable to purchase a ticket and we will ensure they are able to join the fun.

Please let the PTA know if your child has any allergies or other requirements.  We ask that children do not bring their own food to the disco as we will provide a range of free-from options.

Covid Management Plan:  All volunteers will need to wear a mask during their session. We also ask volunteers take a lateral flow test on the morning of the disco and not to attend if anyone in their family has tested positive for Covid-19 or is in an isolation period at the time of the event. For the reception and nursery parents, we are planning to serve refreshments outside, subject to weather (we will have some outdoor heaters). We will continue to monitor the guidelines and make any amendments to the day as required.
