Christmas Fair
This year's Christmas Fair will look very different to previous years but the children's happiness and excitement is top of the list when it comes to planning priorities. This year's fair is ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN!
Some of the things we have planned:
The main hall will be decorated, and here the children can take part in craft activities and buy secondhand books and toys
Outside there will be four different areas - Rock and Roll Trampets (mini trampolines), a Grotto for a Christmas Story and a photograph on Father Christmas' chair, a snowball fight with two snow machines and a specially designed obstacle course courtesy of Mr Fink!
Classroom activities to include visit from Santa, crosswords, word hunts, decorating flags, and a movie.
We hope the children will have an amazing day!
MUFTI DAYS & PAYMENT
As per previous years, we are holding mufti (home clothes) days on three consecutive Fridays starting Friday 20 November, saving our Christmas jumpers for the day of the fair itself! So to recap, your children don't need to wear school uniform on the following dates:
Friday 20 November
Friday 27 November
Friday 4 December
We ask for a £1 donation per mufti day, which can be paid in one go on Ticket Tailor.
We are also asking for £5 per child to cover their day at the fair. We are going cash free as we don't want lots of coins passing through hands during the day so this flat fee will cover a card for each child to allow them to choose a toy or a book from the secondhand stalls, enjoy lots of gorgeous crafts and some yummy treats. This will also ensure a fair balance between all year groups for all activities and treats.
Sadly some of the traditional features of our fair have to be abandoned this year, such as allowing family and friends access after school hours, the inflatable toys, and our raffle - we didn't want to burden local businesses after such a tough year. We hope to pick these up again in 2021.
Camellia's Tea House
We are also delighted to welcome Camellia’s Tea House as a fair sponsor alongside Douglas & Gordon.
This lovely tea supplier is run by a school parent and we thank them for their support.
Please have a look at their website for some lovely and different teas – the perfect gift this year!
