Major Focus – Designing, producing and evaluating
Description
This subject is designed to offer you the opportunity to design and construct a product for yourself or a client. There are many materials on offer, and the selection of an appropriate material will be made in conjunction with the teacher. A full set of technical drawings with all associated measurements will be required before any material is distributed. You will need to complete two written pieces of work. These will be a planned sequence of operations as well as a detailed evaluation of the completed model.

• Completed set of technical drawings
• Planned sequence of operations
• Completed production model
· Teacher’s observations and safe working procedures
· Minimum 500-word evaluation with a minimum of 8 points covered.
Safety and correct workshop practices are to be followed throughout this unit.
