School-based Year 10 RE course (Based on Catholic Education Melbourne’s Religious Education Framework - Pedagogy of Encounter and Inquiry-Based Learning).
Studies in RE aim to help students to find out:
· What you think and sense
· What others think and why
· What the Church teaches and why
· How you are called to a deeper relationship with others, with the environment and with God
To achieve this, the St Bede’s College school-based course of RE aims to be:
· Interesting and engage students in deep thinking
· Relevant to young people
· True to the Catholic Tradition; helping students to make sense and meaning of everyday life in the light of the teaching of the Catholic Church and the traditions of the Catholic community.

Term 2 Our Common Home (The Environment)
Term 3 The Gospel of Mark – A Manual for Discipleship (Texts and Traditions)
Term 4 Filters for Followers (Christian Communication)
Film, podcasts, music etc – critical analysis and creation
In Year 11, all students doing a VCE pathway will pick up VCAA Unit 2 courses in Text & Traditions (S1) AND Religion & Society (S2)
