Year 10 Indonesian ➔ Units 1 & 2 Indonesian ➔ Units 3 & 4 Indonesian Senior Years
Major Focus – The Individual and Indonesian Speaking Communities
Students continue to develop all key language skills, with an emphasis of producing texts for different contexts and audiences.
Learning is based around the themes of Indonesian film, being a visitor to Indonesia, environmental conservation and working in Indonesia.
Students further develop their cultural and language awareness throughout the unit.
Topics covered in this course include Indonesian film study, seasons and weather, the environment and occupations.
Learning Activities

· Creation of original texts
· Cultural excursion to the Indonesian Film Festival and Indonesian restaurant in Melbourne’s CBD
Assessment
Examples of assessment tasks throughout the Year 10 Indonesian course.
· Writing a film review of an Indonesian film
· Delivering a weather forecast in Indonesian
· Researching Indonesian environmental issues and writing a report
· Roleplay of a job interview
· Topic tests that incorporate listening and reading comprehension skills
Students are expected to have a keen interest in learning languages and a willingness to participate in various activities and reflect on their own language development through class activities.
Students are to commit themselves to complete a full year of Languages at this level.
The language studied in Year 10 is a continuation of the language chosen in Year 9

Learning is based around the themes of technology, environmental issues, making holiday arrangements and Italian migration in Australia.
Students further develop their cultural and language awareness throughout the unit and extend their knowledge and apprehension of Italian grammar
