snow/Emergency Traffic Control - basic Training provides an introduction and detailed look at snow closure operations and safety in winter storm and traffic management work, and is geared toward any statewide administrative, engineering or support staff  tasked with assisting Maintenance forces during winter storms and emergency road closures.  Topics include personal protective equipment, closure establishment and sustainment, radio communications, handling emergencies and other information relating to safe and efficient operations during unplanned road closures. Participants will gain the necessary information to be able to support CDOT’s teams in the field in manning closure gates and other roadside stations.
