Welding Certification

The welding program is held at Warren Technical High School, within the Jefferson County School District.  

Training covers all various skill levels, from beginner to advanced welding, such as stick welding, mig, tig, and flux core welding. We cover all aspects of welding and fabrication safety. We cover D1.1, D14.3, and D15 welding codes, welding procedures, continuity records, electrode types, and reading welding plans.  We focus on certifications for the 3G(vertical), 4G (overhead), and 6G welding positions for the various weld processes. We cover oxy and acetylene torch-cutting operations covering all safety procedures

Tools to Bring

Tools are available but limited as we are sharing the space with Warren Tech's students

Bring your welding tools (grinder, pliers, chipping hammer, wire brush, etc) if you have them

Space in this program is very limited and prioritized for Bridge crew and Pipe & Mechanical trades crews.

Individuals interested, but outside of the target audience will:

 1) Need their Supervisor's recommendation and approval (LTC Ops or above)

 2) Verification through the Curriculum Developer or Training Services Manager that registration is approved.
