The Flagger Certification program is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage traffic control and ensure safety in work zones.
This course covers key responsibilities and best practices for flaggers, including how to manage traffic flow, signaling drivers safely, and responding to hazardous situations while maintaining a clear and organized work environment.
Intro to Traffic Control is part of New Employee - CDOT 101 Training.
This class is designed for positions in Maintenance, Construction Design Engineers, and those who work in and around Temporary Traffic Control.
The TCT course is a prerequisite for Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS).
The Traffic Control Technician is responsible for implementing the Traffic Control Plan and setting up traffic control devices.
The Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) Course is designed for employees at the TM II level or higher who will be actively involved in designing and approving Traffic Control Plans; as well as managing, inspecting, and maintaining temporary traffic control.
The TCS is responsible and accountable to all components of traffic control - from designing the Traffic Control Plan all the way to ensuring the work zone is properly set up.
The TCS Endorsement is valid for 3 years, at which point all TCS's are required to renew their endorsement
The Traffic Control Supervisor Renewal (TSC-R) course is designed to provide individuals holding a traffic control supervisor card with the latest updates and advancements in traffic control management.
In this comprehensive 8-hour course, participants will review all changes and developments that have occurred in the field over recent years, ensuring they remain informed and up-to-date with the latest State or Federal regulations and standards.
I have never attended either TCT or TCS
I take the Traffic Control Plan designed and approved by someone else and simply set up the traffic control devices according to the plan
I took TCS in the past (because that was all that was offered) but I do not design and approve Traffic Control Plans on a regular basis.
I am responsible for all aspects of Traffic Control, from design and approval of the plan to ensuring the work zone is set up properly
