Safety Endorsement Program
The Snow Plow Safety Endorsement Program is designed to ensure all of CDOT's Operators are familiar with basic safety practices, operation best practices, and familiarity with the various controls in the common snow plows we have in our fleet.

Tow Plow endorsement (required only for tow plow operators)

- 8-hour classroom-based training course
This course is offered as a part of the annual Winter Operations Training Program.

- Field-based performance assessment conducted by an LTC Ops or TM III. Your ability to perform a pre-trip inspection and operate equipment in a safe manner will be assessed. If your assessment determines that you are not prepared to safely operate snow plow, additional hands-on training and a re-assessment with an LTC-Ops will be required.
