Front End Loader
Safety Endorsement Program


The Front End Loader Safety Endorsement Program has been designed to ensure all of CDOT's Operators are familiar with basic safety practices, operation best practices, and familiarity with the various controls in the common loaders we have in our fleet.

Loader Training:

  • 4-hour classroom-based training course

  • Pre test and post test
    Only required for those being endorsed for the first time. Employees renewing endorsement do not need to take these tests.

  • Field-based performance assessment conducted by an LTC Ops or TM III. Your ability to perform a pre-trip inspection and operate equipment in a safe manner will be assessed. If your assessment determines that you are not prepared to safely operate the loader, additional hands-on training and a re-assessment with an LTC-Ops will be required.

All Training materials for you to conduct the Training Program, are located in Google Classroom (CLICK HERE). All LTC Ops have access to the materials.
