A Message from Administration
Dear St. Albert Families,
I recently came upon this post, and it hit me hard. As a parent and as a school counselor, I have had the privilege of working alongside many teachers, and I have tremendous respect for them because they have chosen a profession that makes a difference in the lives of children, driven by compassion and commitment, not financial gain. Every day I witness acts of kindness by our teachers at St. Albert the Great. The following is an interesting look at a parent’s view of teachers based on her own experiences as a student and then as a parent.
Click to read the post- I say we blame it on the teachers...

Fall Teacher Conference Dinner Sign Ups
The PTO provides dinner for the teachers on the October 6th & 7th conference nights. Please use this sign up genius link to provide items for this dinner. It is a wonderful way to show our gratitude to the teachers for all their hard work!! In addition it is an easy way to support the PTO if otherwise your schedule hasn't permitted. We appreciate your generosity.
Tuesday, October 7, is a $1 Dress Down Day for Preschool through 7th grade
Follow the Dress-Down policy in the Student Parent Handbook. Bring $1 to your homeroom teacher for the collection to support the 8th-grade trip.
Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair will be here October 1-7 for students and parents to enjoy! This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again!
Here are a few things to remember:
* Students may bring money to shop during their regular library class during this week or wait for their scheduled conference. If your child doesn't shop during class, we can provide a wish list to write down choices
* If JK-3rd grade bring in money to shop during class time, please put it in a labeled envelope/baggie with the student's name
* If you are interested in e-wallet (digital payment account that allows your child(ren) to shop for books instead of using cash), please refer to the Scholastic Book Fair flyer that will be sent home in the Tuesday folder
We look forward to seeing you soon!
CPR Certification
Congratulations and thank you to the many teachers and staff members who stayed last Friday to complete a CPR/AED Course. Cintas provided our staff with an informative, hands-on training to keep our school and parish community prepared.
Multifactor Authentication is Coming to the FACTS Family Portal Soon!
Cybersecurity is a growing challenge for schools and their technology partners. St. Albert the Great has taken several steps to reduce our cybersecurity risk, and FACTS will soon be taking a step to tighten the security of our SIS and Family Portal. Specifically, FACTS will soon require users to use multifactor authentication in order to access the SIS (teachers and staff) or the Family Portal (families).
Users can sign up for multi-factor authentication using an authenticator app or an email, depending on their preference. FACTS recommends setting up using an authenticator app for increased security because apps don't send messages, like SMS or email, that someone could intercept. Any authenticator app will work, FACTS does not require or restrict specific ones. There are several free options: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Aegis Authenticator. You will be prompted to set up MFA the first time you log in after it has been enabled for your school. This is likely to be in the latter half of SEPTEMBER 2025. You can read more about this development at the SATG Parent/Student Tech Support Site.
Please note that students will not have to use MFA to access the Family Portal.
