Welcome to a new school year! I hope it has been a great summer full of some wonderful memories. As we begin this new school year together, I am excited to work with all of our faculty, staff, and families to make this the best school year yet. I look forward to all we will accomplish—together! I pray that this year be one of growth and continued blessings for each of our students and their families.
We’ve had some changes over the summer, and we are welcoming some new members to our St. Albert family.
Brand new to St. Albert:
Katelyn Becker (PE): Katelyn is a graduate of the University of Louisville and coming to us with experience in athletics/coaching from preschool through high school. Welcome, Katelyn!
Christiana Singler (6th Social Studies and English): Christiana is a recent graduate of Saint Mary’s College Notre Dame. She is excited to be joining our St. Albert family and can’t wait to meet her new sixth graders.
Rachel Peters (5th Social Studies and Literature): Rachel is an experienced teacher returning to teaching after taking some time off to be with her daughter, Nora. Rachel has experience teaching 5th grade at St. Michael and we are happy to welcome both Rachel and Nora to our St. Albert family.
Changing positions/returning to St Albert:
Mary Gates (Learning Coordinator): We are excited to share that Mrs. Gates will be taking on a new role this year as our Learning Coordinator! She has touched many lives in her years as a dedicated and compassionate classroom teacher. As a learning coordinator, she will now have the opportunity to work with even more students! We are excited to welcome her to our administrative team and watch her continue to share her love of our Catholic faith and kindness throughout our school and community.
Chelsea Culbreth (6th grade English, Language Arts, and Literature): Chelsea is returning to St. Albert after stepping away from teaching for a couple of years to stay at home with her boys. We are so happy that she is returning to St. Albert to her love of English/Language Arts/Literature, but now in sixth grade!
Glenn King (6th Math and Science): Welcome back, Glenn! We are so excited and thankful to have Mr. King returning to his sixth grade classroom and curriculum at St. Albert!
Robyn Melton (3rd grade): Robyn will be moving across the hall from 2B and will be joining our third grade team!
Melissa Mann (2nd grade): Mrs. Mann will be moving to a second grade teaching position from her roles as: KC long term substitute, 2C long term substitute, and 2A assistant. Melissa is a certified teacher with many years of teaching experience.
Courtney Humston (2nd grade assistant): Welcome back, Courtney! After staying home with her new baby, Cal, Mrs. Humston will be returning to St. Albert as an Assistant in 2A. Courtney has many years of experience in the classroom as both an Assistant and Teacher. She most recently left her fourth grade teaching position at St. Albert to start her family.
The school office has been busy all summer preparing for the 2025-2026 school year: ordering text books, rostering students in homerooms, classes, and schedules. We are ready and excited to see you!
