Parish Office Hours 

The parish office will close at 3:00pm on Friday, April 3rd, so that staff can attend the Good Friday Liturgy. The parish office will also be closed for the Easter holiday on Monday, April 6th. Chrism Mass 

All are invited to attend the Chrism Mass, celebrated by Archbishop Fabre on Tuesday, March 31st at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption (433 S. 5th St.). At this liturgy, the Holy Oils which will be used throughout the archdiocese in the coming year are blessed and consecrated by the archbishop. In addition, the priests of the archdiocese will renew their priestly promises. Please join us for this beautiful and ancient celebration of the local Church.

Holy Week Special Collections

During the sacred days of Holy Week, our parish will take up two special collections. On Holy Thursday, the Rice Bowl collection supports Catholic Relief Services, aiding those suffering from hunger and poverty both around the world and here at home. On Good Friday, the Holy Land Collection supports Christians and preserves holy sites in the land of Jesus, offering care and hope to local communities and refugees. Thank you for your generosity and prayerful support.

Divine Mercy Sunday & Novena Prayers

Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated on the Second Sunday of Easter, completing the Church’s Octave of Easter and highlighting God’s boundless mercy revealed in the risen Christ.

Jesus entrusted this devotion to St. Faustina, reminding us that peace is found through trust in His Divine Mercy. All are invited to pray the Divine Mercy Novena, which begins on Good Friday—SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS ⬇️

The Sacred Triduum

The word “Triduum” comes from the Latin word meaning “three days,” and encompasses the three most sacred days in the Church year. It begins at sundown on Holy Thursday, reaches a high point at the Easter Vigil, and concludes with evening prayer at sundown on Easter Sunday. While it may appear as if these liturgies are separate and distinct, they are actually intended to be one continuous celebration that commemorates the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. Palm Sunday Procession

This weekend we will celebrate Palm Sunday which will lead us into Holy Week. The blessing of the palms will take place at all the Masses. Weather permitting, we will also have a Procession with Palms at the 10:30a.m. Mass. Parishioners will be invited to be part of a grand procession that will make its way through the Prayer Garden and back into church.

12 Hours of Mercy

Saturday, March 28 – 8:30AM to 8:30PM

Experience the Lord’s mercy during our 12 Hours of Mercy. Spend time in prayer with Eucharistic Adoration and take advantage of the opportunity for Confession throughout the day. Seven Last Words of Christ Prayer Service

Tuesday, March 31st at 7:00 PM

As part of our Holy Week offerings, we invite you to enter more deeply into the mystery of Christ’s Passion through a moving prayer service on The Seven Last Words of Christ. These are not single words, but the final seven phrases spoken by our Lord as He hung upon the Cross—drawn from the combined accounts of the four Gospels and long cherished in the Church’s tradition of prayer and reflection.

Join us as we meditate on these sacred words through reflections inspired by Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s Seven Words of Jesus and Mary. Fr. Chris will lead this prayer service on Tuesday, March 31st at 7:00 PM in the Church. Come spend time in quiet prayer and reflection during this most sacred week.

Holy Saturday

Join us at NOON for the Office of Readings, followed by the Blessing of Easter Food & Baskets.

The Office of Readings, part of the Church’s Liturgy of the Hours, includes psalms and readings from Scripture and the Early Church. Afterward, families are invited to bring Easter baskets to be blessed. In this beautiful tradition, families bring baskets of food to be blessed, giving thanks for God’s gifts, celebrating the Resurrection of the Lord, and marking the end of the Lenten season. We will not meet for classes on April 5th during Easter and Spring Break. We will resume classes on April 12th.

Children's Liturgy

Children’s Liturgy of the Word will not be offered on Palm Sunday or at the Sunday morning Easter Masses. During the year, children ages 4–7 are invited to participate in this special time of readings, songs, and activities designed to help them more fully engage in the Mass. We kindly ask that all children participate reverently and respectfully.

Nursery 

Please note that the Children’s Nursery will not be available on Easter Sunday. We welcome all families to celebrate this joyful day together at Mass, and wish you a blessed Easter!

St. Albert Book Club

Our book for April book will be My Life on the Rock : A Rebel Returns to His Faith by Jeff Cavins. We will meet on the last Thursday of the month, April 30th at 10am in the Sacred Heart Center. All are welcome! No reservation needed. Just read the book and show up! Our May book will be Mother Angelica: The Remarkable Story of a Nun, Her Nerve, and a Network of Miracles by Raymond Arroyo.

Seasonal Flower Ministry

Let our parishioners know you care by bringing a flower to one of our ill, homebound or bereaved. Just choose a flower with name and card attached provided by your Pastoral Care Team and deliver. It’s that easy! Thanks for spreading the love!

Special Disciples Of Jesus Mass
All Special Needs family and friends are invited to St. Margaret Mary. the Mass will be shorter and geared towards our children. Meet other families in similar situations. Hope & Healing Group: Substance Abuse Passing
St. Albert the Great hosts a monthly support group for those who have lost a loved one from any type of substance use. Third Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00pm (SHC).

NAMI Family Support Group
The group provides a safe space for family and friends of people with mental health conditions to receive knowledge, encouragement and support. Third Sunday of the month at 7:00pm (PLC). SVDP: Helping Our Neighbors in Need

The weekend of March 29th, we will take up a collection for our St. Vincent de Paul Society. Through your generosity, this ministry is able to provide critical assistance to neighbors in need right here in our community—helping with utilities, rent and other basic necessities. When making donations by check, please make checks payable to St. Albert SVDP Conference (rather than the parish). This helps funds reach those in need more quickly. 

Loaves & Fishes

April 11th-12th

Our next Loaves & Fishes collection will support the EACM Food Pantry. Donations are always needed—especially peanut butter, pasta, canned vegetables and fruit, and canned meats (including tuna). We also welcome items for preparing ethnic dishes, such as tortillas, various types of rice and noodles, and coconut milk. Diapers and baby wipes are always needed for the diaper closet. Thank you for your continued generosity in caring for our neighbors in need. 

Please note: canned corn and green beans are not needed at this time.

Red Cross Blood Drive

The Social Concerns Team are sponsoring our quarterly Red Cross blood drive in the Parish Life Complex on Sunday 4/19/26 from 8am until 1pm.  Appointments are recommended but not required. For appointments, please call Mary Jo Bird at (502) 552-2093 or email kybirdsnest@aol.com.  Appointments can also be made directly with the Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS or online at www.Redcrossblood.org. Donors who register are also encouraged to fill out the “Rapid Pass” online within 24 hours of their donation to expedite the donation process. 

Parish Clean-Up Day 

April 25th at 9:30AM | St. Albert Campus

Our parish will be holding a campus-wide clean-up day on Saturday, April 25 at 9:30 AM. All storage areas will be cleaned and organized.

If your ministry or organization has items stored on campus, please be sure to clearly mark everything you wish to keep before April 25. Any items not marked will be assumed to be unwanted and will be discarded.
