A radio-controlled airplane is a little flying machine that is controlled remotely by an operator on the ground using a hand-held radio transmitter. It is widely used by scientists, military personal for experiments, gathering weather readings, aerodynamic modeling and testing, and even using them as drones or spy planes. A workshop on designing and fabricating a Radio Controlled plane was organized on 12.08.2016 and 13.06.2016 for the students of the Aeronautical Engineering Department. A kit consisting of BLDC Motor, Electronic Speed Controller, Battery, Servo motor, Aluminium Rail, Propeller, Other miscellaneous tools and building materials were provided to teams for building the plane and successfully flying them.
