The Aero Modelling Club for the academic year 2012-2013 was inaugurated on 3^rd August,2012 by Dr.S. Ignersol, Scientist SG, Group Head, (QAEIE) ISRO, Mahendragiri

A CAD Modelling and Glider Contest under the title "Peregrines Falcon '12" was organized by the Aero Modelling Club on 27.12.2012. Students/Participants had the task of two rounds in which they were expected to make a CAD Model of the given product/drawing using CATIA or AUTO-CAD and questions on basic Engineering Drawing. In the Glider Competition, students had to clear the first round preliminaries of Paper Plane Design and Flight under the conditions of measuring Duration of Flight. In the second round, the materials for making a glider were provided and participants had to model their won flying glider. Certificates and Prizes were distributed to the winners in the Valedictory function.
