Head route setter and front desk manager of the Outdoor Program, Rocky will be graduating in 2026 with a double major in Physical Education & Health and Mathematics and minors in Education & Math Education with a Holistic Education certificate! Her all time favorite outdoor activity is "CLIMBING!!!" She loves to climb both indoors and outdoors with friends and family. She also loves to hike, snowboard, and go rafting.
"My favorite route in the gym right now is my 4 chili blue route called "Crashing Waves". It has awesome laybacks, underclings, kneebar, and it's a very technical route!"

An SOU and Outdoor Program alum, Matt recently graduated from SOU with degrees in Business Administration & Outdoor Leadership. His favorite outdoor activities include teaching, running, climbing, skiing, mountain biking, and surfing!
His current favorite route in the gym is "the crack!"

A member of our Outdoor Program staff, Reese is a freshman at SOU, graduating in 2026. She's majoring in Digital Cinema but looking to swap to an Interdisciplinary Studies Major next year! Her favorite outdoor activities include hiking, backpacking, camping, making daisy chains, and playing sports with her friends.
"My favorite route that's up right now is probably "Kimberly (the pink power ranger)". It's super flowy but still challenging for me!"
Come to the Climbing Center on Mondays from 6:00-9:00 to climb "Kimberly (the pink power ranger)" during Monday Night Lights!
An avid climber and regular facet in the climbing center, she is a junior with a major in Education Studies and minors in Shakespeare studies and Environmental Science and Policy. Her favorite outdoor activities include climbing, hiking, ziplining, and riding horses!
"My favorite route in the gym right now is my white top rope that I made because it's my first top rope route I've ever made and I literally put my blood, sweat, and tears into it!"

A staff member of the Outdoor Program, J is a freshman Environmental Science major with an OAL minor expected to graduate in 2026. His favorite things to do outdoors are backpacking and canoeing!
"I have two favorite routes right now. One of them is a blue one chili called “snow blues in C” I like how well it flows and I aspire to set one chilis like this. The other is an orange 3 chili called “Escape From Pelican Rock”. I set this route and it is my favorite sport route that I have set."
