1. Open a new browser window and go to the Smith Portal or Workday. Log in with your Smith username and password.

2. When you get the Duo prompt, select Add a new device. Note: if Duo was set to “remember me for 30 days” and skips the Duo page, you can make it appear by using a different browser, a private window, or an incognito window in Chrome.

3. Duo will ask you to identify what type of device you are planning to use. Select the appropriate option from the list, and then select Continue.

4. Enter your phone number and check the box to verify it’s correct. Select Continue to finish enrolling your device.

5. Duo will show you your list of enrolled devices to confirm you have finished the process. Select Back to Login to continue on to the Smith Portal or Workday.
