"In this project I explored a healthcare strategy to combat rural healthcare inequities in the United States. Through my research, it became evident that there is great diversity between rural communities in the US, so there would need to be a strategy in place that is variable and customizable. Four interventions were selected: a focus on public health and prevention care, healthcare provider incentivization, telehealth, and pop-up clinics. These interventions can work together and be customized to each community to combat the unique struggles rural communities face due to economic factors, cultural and social differences, educational shortcomings, lack of recognition by legislators and sheer isolation."
