World War Z

Loosely based on a novel of the same name, WWZ is...well, a zombie apocalypse movie. Starring Brad Pitt, if that means anything to you.

Thoughts

Zombie apocalypse...keeping in mind I'd started on The Walking Dead not too long before, watched the Highschool of the Dead anime a while before that, and spend a bit of my spare time playing Left 4 Dead 2...well, hopefully you can understand my reluctance to watch this movie. (And obviously I tell you this to warn you of potential bias beforehand.)

Anyways. Movie didn't disappoint. And by that I don't mean it was any good, I mean that it wasn't complete trash. I know it's not exactly high praise, but there's literally nothing else that comes to mind. I mean, it's...a zombie apocalypse story: if you've seen even one, you can probably figure out how this goes, more or less.

About the only thing I might point out is that the zombies in this story are quite agile, so, if you're used to anything like 28 Days Later or Dawn of the Dead, then that's what to expect.

Oh, and geography tidbit: the movie seems to consider Jerusalem to be part of Israel. Those of you that know what I'm talking about, well, enjoy your quiet chuckle.
