How technology can help differently abled students?
Technology proves to be an equalizer for classrooms with differently-abled students. Educators can utilize devices and software that can help personalize learning for each student. Utilization of Assistive Technology or AT can change the way, these students attain education
What does assistive technology mean?
Assistive technology is any device, software, or equipment that helps people work around their challenges. Some examples of assistive technology are text-to-speech and word prediction. Assistive technology includes low-tech tools, too, like pencil grips.
How can technology help disabled?
Appropriate assistive technology often helps people with disabilities compensate, at least in part, for a limitation. For example, assistive technology enables students with disabilities to compensate for certain impairments. This specialized technology promotes independence and decreases the need for other support.
How Internet is helping making the life of disabled people easy?
"People with disabilities have found the internet a real boost because it helps to make life easier by providing online access to services such as banking and food shopping, and also gives them the ability to network with other people who are in the same situation as themselves," he says.
