Common Buzzard

Common Buzzard (Buteo Buteo), photographed early morning in late August on the top of a Silver Birch tree. Now widespread throughout the UK (and Wellington Heath), it is our most common large bird of prey. They will feed on anything from earthworms to live prey up to the size of a rabbit, but will also feed on carrion.

Can often be seen, and heard, around the village.
